The ice has thawed and the move is on

Well, the heat has melted the ice and I am back to being me. Came back Friday and continued with the packing monstrosity. My Interview GOD came over to help load the trailer and take us for a spin in his super snazzy sportscar. NICE!! Got too overwhelmed with the rest of the packing so we all went to dinner at a super yummy Chinese buffet. We have not been out to eat like that for a while. If it does not have arches or a crown over something, we have not been there for food. B was okay in the restaurant but could have been better. I was counting my blessings as he could have been rowdier like some other children around us. Stopped at Meijers to pick up a few things and back home with us for bedtime for a little B and nighty night snuggles for E and myself ;)

Saturday consisted of more packing and loading out into the yard and truck. BossMan and Mr. J came over to help pack some more and load in a lot. They busted their humps and earned their keep with some Great Steak Escape and cold beer. Best way to keep the men happy!!! They each took off around 3 PM and we took a half hour break. We felt like official white trash with all of our stuff all over the yard. We even had a pregnant teen come down to inspect our baby stuff to buy. YIKES!!! More neighbors and their kids came down to load more stuff in. It moved and there was very little to pack up the next morning. Invited quite a number of people to come over for a Farewell Potluck Dinner. Only about 10 showed up which was nice. We were worn out but enjoyed the company. Especially from my sweetheart, Miss Teen Dublin. She is wonderful at massages and we were treated to a back and foot massage. Pure heaven. She is now wanting to take a trip to Texas and possibly go to University of Texas. YEAH!! She is such an amazing young woman!!!

Sunday we were backed to scanning the rooms and finsihing up loading in the van. I was a little sick in the morning but that went away after a few hours. Since my father is unable to travel further than 30 minutes from the house we decided to take a trip to Bedford to see them. Before we went we made a quick stop at Once Upon A Child to buy our niece her school wardrobe. Nine outfits and $70 later we were on the road north. Mom called to see if we didn't mind our cousins stopping by. As long as it was not stressful we were good. My brother was there are we lucked out as he had our niece in tow. His soon to be ex-wife actually came off of her broomstick to allow us the opportunity to see our niece before we left. BONUS!! The kids had a blast playing together and it was a good visit all around. Uncle K got B the cutest Superman pajamas complete with a red cape. They were on about 30 seconds after he brought them out. It was hard to say goodbye to the parents but knowing that I am coming back next month made it a little easier. Not much, but a little bit.

All in all, not bad for a chaotic weekend.
