Birthdays and BBQ's

This weekend was quite a fun weekend for our family.

Last week was crazy with scrambling around for promotional tickets to the Disney Pixar Cars movie. State Farm is a major sponsor of the movie and we are trying to get free tickets by doing a bunch of contests. Well, low and behold we were successful!! B and I are going to a sneak preview on the 3rd of June (release date is June 9th) and we are going to the one sponsored by State Farm on the 10th of June. That will have extra special bonus stuff for all State Farm employees, agents and agent staff. I can hardly wait....

Back to the title. We left Saturday afternoon for my parents house in Bedford and embarked on our long weekend. It has been awhile since we had a nice long weekend and I was ready to go. We got there around dinnertime and did a little BBQ that night. After dinner we took the kids to the park on their bicycles. They had a blast and it wore them out. That was the best part.

Sunday was two very special birthdays. My brother turned 27 and my dad has gone 6 years since his heart attack. For my dad, that was a total re-birth and we celebrate it as we do a normal birthday. He had a massive heart attack on my brothers 21st birthday and they even lost him on the table. But God wanted him with us more so they were able to get him back. For the birthdays, my mom, brother, LoLi, B and I went to see Over The Hedge and my dad and E went golfing, watched the Indy 500 and hooked up the electric in the garage. And they both loved their birthday celebrations. We did another BBQ and had ice cream cake along with presents.

Monday was extremely relaxing. We watched movies during the hottest heat, scrapbooked and had more BBQ. Afterwards, we took B to the park on his bike again and wore him out for our drive back to Columbus.

I think I am BBQed out!!!
