What a day....

Yesterday was a VERY busy day.

It all started with us waking up early to make it to a sneak preview of the Disney Pixar Movie of Cars. One of my co-workers won these tickets ahead of the tickets that we are getting for next weekend and since I asked her to enter this special drawing and since I have the child she gave me the tickets. Props to MDP. I just love that girl!!!

Back to the morning. Sorry ADHD ramble....

B and I got up, got dressed and headed out an hour and a half before the preview. Since the tickets said that it was first come first serve, I was out the door as we were NOT going to miss this opportunity. We stop at Tim Hortons for some Iced Cappucino and a snack for B when he informs me then that he has to go potty. I said the age old phrase of "Why didn't you go before we left?" and I got the age old phrase of "I didn't have to go then!". We leave the drive thru and head to the nearest, cleanest gas station and he goes potty. The time critic is me is freaking out as we are losing valuable time!! But he finished and we got a snack and headed out again.

Once we get down to the theatre we parked in the garage that was the wrong garage. So B and I walk another block and a half to actually get to the theatre. That I did not mind as much since we were close enough. We get into the theatre and we were fine for time. B and I got popcorn and drinks and he picked our seats. They were not bad seats!! A half hour later the movie started and it was a really good movie. It is a typical Disney Pixar movie with a good message for children to learn with enough humor for the adults to enjoy. But all in all, it was really good. And props to State Farm for being the first auto insurance company to become aligned with Disney Pixar for a movie!!!

We headed home and stayed by the house for a bit. B ran between the neighbors house and our house to play, E cleaned the garage and I made cards for a birthday and a graduation that we were going to later that evening. It was nice to relax for a bit.

We left for Cori's graduation party. This young lady is VERY special to me and I was ecstatic to see her again. I have not seen her since our send off party last year and I have missed her tremendously. She is one of those girls that has a great head on her shoulders, an awesome personality and it drop dead gorgeous. Plus, she is the first girl that I coached to do Miss Teen Ohio International last year and she was 4th runner up. I am just so proud of her.

The party was at her mom's boyfriends house so it was a matter of finding the place. I was so excited I could barely sit still. Once we got out of the car we headed to the condo. We saw her mom immediately and exchanged hugs and exclamations of excitement of seeing each other. Then I saw her sister and the same happened again. Then we saw Cori. There were some death grip hugs exchanged. She looked fabulous!!!

We sat to eat dinner with her and talk for a bit. And in typical Cori fashion and against her mothers wishes she let out a large burp that makes my husband crack up!! She really is a lady but she can burp better than any guy I know. And I completely forgot that about her. How, I do not know.

We caught up and I was happy to see that she was looking better. She had endometriosis that spread in her body. So they had to do surgery at the beginning of April. She had recovered well. And we talked of future plans. She is attending college at Otterbein!! That is 10 minutes from my house!!!! I am so psyched about that because I will get to see her more.

We stayed for a couple of hours and headed out as her friends started to pour in. We went to Computer Boy and Diamond Girls house to catch up and let our kids play together. Computer Boy is E's manager and his wife and I became good friends when we were pregnant together. Our children are 11 days apart in age. Diamond Girl did my nails and we got the chance to catch up on everything. Then we settled in to watch Friends and eat some cake. I fell asleep on the couch while watching Friends and feel bad about doing so. Thank goodness for understanding friends.

And that was the wrap up of our very busy day. Hopefully today will be a bit more relaxing.
