Ho Hum Day

Yes, we are getting near the holidays.

The phones have stopped ringing, the Christmas carols have picked up on the radio, and I am scrambling to get everything accomplished before the end of the year.

Had lunch with HB today as a thanks for all of the loan referrals. A nice trip to Red Lobster and a yummy lunch later I am good. We had a good time and some good conversation.

I sent E to work yesterday with goodie boxes for his techs and today with gifts for the office staff. It is always nice to know that you are appreciated. Especially around the holidays. And they do an awful lot of hard work. They deserve to be recognized for that. They had their holiday lunch today. I have not heard much back about how it turned out. Maybe later.

B went to school with presents for each of his teachers and for the school owner. I only got to see one reaction. I let his main teacher know that hers was in her room. I will most likely pick him up tonight so I should see the rest of the reactions. Hopefully they will like their gifts.

Tonight we are off to the YMCA and to pick up the last remaining presents that I have been sent out on. This will be interesting. Love to see what the stores will look like tonight.

    Common Breast Cancer Myths

The first myth pertaining to this disease is that it only affects women.

Second myth that is associated with this disease is that if one has found a lump during an examination, it is cancer.

Third is that it is solely hereditary

The next myth associated with breast cancer is downright ridiculous. Would you believe, that in this day and age, some individuals still think that breast cancer is contagious?

Conversely, some individuals foolishly believe that breast size determines whether or not one gets cancer.

Finally, another myth that is associated with this disease is that it only affects older people. This is not so. Although the chance of getting breast cancer increases with age, women as young as 18 have been diagnosed with the disease.
