Furniture, Furniture and More Furniture
This month has felt like a spree for furniture shopping.
It all started when Sassygurly came to live with us. We knew that she would need furniture to live with us. She was staying temporarily in our office and sleeping on a futon. That was not enough. She needed her own bed and her own dressers for her room.
While we were in Cleveland, the church that my mom works at was having a Rummage Sale. Mom had told me that they had a bedroom suite but she was uncertain of the cost. We agreed to look at it along with everything else they had. We went two days after the sale and saw the bedroom set. Since the parish was aware of our situation they offered to donate the bedroom set free of charge. Which was extremely sweet of them. Along with that, we picked up two cribs (the last time we went crib shopping we got pregnant. Consider it wishful thinking.), an end table and some other odds and ends. We ended up having to rent a U-Haul to get everything back.
This weekend we found the ultimate bed. We have been looking for a bunk bed set with the top being a twin bed and the bottom bunk being a futon. We were searching www.craigslist.org and found the right set for us. It was an OSU futon with OSU pillows. We contacted the family and they got back to us. It was still available and we could pick it up today. So, with the use of a borrowed truck (thanks again Mamaw!!) we went and picked it up. It is in great condition. I guess the little boy that had it really did not like it. B saw it and immediately loved it! E wanted to keep it in the office but I think B will win this argument.
I think we can honestly say that we have more than enough furniture. Well, maybe not. We can use a new bedroom set ourselves.....
