Thanks To My Blogging Comrades

I would like to take a moment to thank my blogging comrades for keeping their blogs up to date. As you see, I often fall behind on mine and am very appreciative of those of you who keep my updated on a regular basis.

Today is a rough day for me as I am feeling a bit under the weather. I did not realize that everytime I get sick it will affect my eyesight. Since I underwent Lasik Surgery for my eyes I have been able to see 20/20. First time in 20 years. But with this summer cold my eyes are all screwed up. That sucks!

I am taking today as an easy rest day. I have not done any work today which is highly unusual. I am usually checking out my e-mail on Saturday and returning calls but today I am so disoriented I would probably make a ton of mistakes. Definitely not something good in this type of work.

I am taking B to the theatre to see Ratatouie. I think that is how you spell it. We are leaving soon and that will be a nice date for us. Then off to an anniversary party later and hopefully I will feel well enough to scrapbook a little bit. For Christmas this year we are having everyone make their own gifts instead of buying a ton of gifts. So every little bit of time I get to scrapbook or card make or candle make is a blessing. We are trying to get away from the commercialism of the holiday and this is the best way we can go about it. Hope that B and LoLi learn something by doing this.

Off to the movies. Make it a great weekend!!

Best Of Luck Miss Ohio Contestants!!!

Miss Ohio 2007 will be selected tonight!!!

I had been involved with the Miss Ohio Scholarship Program for several years and really enjoyed my time while I did it. The Miss Ohio Scholarship Program helped shape me into the person that I have become today. I learned a lot about interviewing, presentation, competition and people through the program and I am grateful for what I had gained from that part of my life.

I never won a local title to qualify me to make it to the Miss Ohio stage but I sure had fun competing on the local level. I lost count of how many locals I had competed in but I did manage to earn some scholarship money, win a Preliminary Swimsuit Award and place in the Top 5 several times over the years that I competed. I made good friends through the system and learned more about myself in the long run. A lot of the people that I met I am still friends with today and know that I will always have a bond with them.

I really do give a lot of credit to pageantry for the person I have become today. I feel that it helped me tremendously in my career path. I always say that I usually not afraid of meetings due to the amount of panel interviews I have done that were Miss America style. And I have learned plenty about people and their body language. Something that is very important in my career field.

To the young women that are competing tonight. Have the time of your life, soak up the moment and remember to be proud of who you are. You got there and that was half the battle. There is one winner but in the long run you have already won.

Best of luck!!!

Steve & Barry's Rock My World

If you ever have a chance to visit Steve & Barry's I highly recommend that you do so.

It is a great store that has a lot of cool T-shirts and casual clothing items at great prices. For those who know me well know that I love expression T-shirts. I managed to pick up three shirts today that totally fit my personality.

Here are the slogans for them:

Everyone Loves A Catholic Girl
Who Needs Intellect When You Have These
I Have A Head For Business And A Body For Sin

They are so cute. And so true.

The Land Of Facebook

OK. So I have decided that I really like Facebook.

Facebook allows me to see what is going on in the lives of my friends and comrades. I have had a number of friends join the network and it is neat to see their updates and their photos.

If you do not have a Facebook account yet I highly recommend going to get one. Then request me as your friend.

See you in Facebook Land!!!!
