National Scrapbooking Day

I had the BEST. NATIONAL. SCRAPBOOKING. DAY. EVER!!!!

For the day I had made plans to go on something called a Diva Crop. This was a crop that had everyone riding around in limos to various scrapbook stores to shop and then go back to our original destination to crop for the rest of the night.

The day started early at my house where Catwoman met me to load up the car and head out. After a quick trip to Meijer for drinks and snacks and a quick stop at Tim Hortons for my beloved Iced Cappucino we were off to West Jefferson. After a few wrong turns we were at the library to set up our area and to head out for our excursion.

The limos showed up and we were divided into two groups. My group started out in the Lincoln TownCar limo and then switched to the Excursion limo halfway through. Our first stop was to Archivers. I was excited to hopefully see FlexiGirl as she could not get off for the day. She did not start work until 2 PM. Bummer. I found majority of my stuff that I was looking for and checked out. I did make a small project while I was there and that was fun.

Next stop was to Scrapbook Groupies. I did purchase some stuff that I had not ever seen before at any other scrapbook store and we got a free Make and Take and a free gift. After that we went out to the limos for pizza and soda and we were off to our third destination.

Cord Camera by far gave us the best deals. They had extra coupons available to us AND gave us a bunch of freebies. That was awesome. I do not think that they were near prepared for our group as we had 24 women with us. But for what we got it was fantastic.

Last stop was PizzazzIt. The last time I was in there the owner was kind of grumpy and was complaining about our group coming for the day. I was not looking to really get anything from there but I did find some items that I have not found anywhere else and I really needed. So I took advantage of the 25% discount that was offered to us and took the plunge. They are having a scrapbooking garage sale soon so I look very forward to trying to get a table and get some of my items sold off to purchase new and better items.

From there it was back to our original destination for food, game and of course CROPPING!!!! Talk about a lot of fun. I did win a prize from the basket and it was the item I was eyeing the whole time so that was pretty fantastic. We did not leave until 11:30 PM. I had completed 8 pages of my sons album.

Not only did I have CatWoman to hang out with I had two of my cohorts from my Advantage account there. It was great to spend the day with them and laugh. We all know that it is relaxing to get to know people better outside of work and this is no exception. I am still thinking of good names for them. I am thinking of Mickey's Wife for the one friend and I am caught on the other one. I will think of it very soon.

I will score this as a pretty A+ day!!!
