A Week To Be Had

This has been a week of it. Here is a recap:

Monday - A day of utter anxiety. E and I went to the doctors office for my test results. Found that there are some abnormal cells and they need to do another scrape to see if they need to proceed with a cone biopsy or not. They are 99% certain that this will be happening. If it does happen, I will still be able to have children but I will be considered a high risk pregnancy and will most likely be placed on bed rest for majority of the pregnancy. They will also be doing an ultrasound to see if I may have ovarian cancer or not. Talk about news that can knock the wind out of your sails. And after this I needed to go to the new company that I may be working for on an interview with the main boss. I had to put on my best pageant interview skills and persona to make it through the interview. It was hard as my thoughts were on my upcoming medical procedures.

Tuesday - I was still very rocked by the news from the day before. I went through the motions at work and managed to pull it off. We went later that evening to Bob Evan's in Mansfield to meet my family for dinner. It was Mom's birthday so we needed to celebrate. E was in a bad mood that evening so between the clash of moods, we were not fun people to be around.

Wednesday - B woke up with a fever and I had to stay home from work with him. It may have been Gods way of giving me a Mental Health Day. I started to feel better about what was going on. I took the day to spoil my son and to study for my test. We scheduled my Series 6 Exam for October 7th. My birthday. Quite ironic. I am understanding the material but cannot test on it for anything. I am quite scared.

Thursday - Went to an all day training for my current job. It was actually very good. They are normally pretty boring but it was a training to thank us for all that we do and to spoil us for a bit. The best part for me was that I got to prospect four people for USANA. That was a relief as we are really trying to build the business. After being at Convention and seeing the integrity of the company, I want so badly to help others experience that too.

Today - I managed to study a bit at lunch and now have a ton of quotes to work on. This makes up for the lousy month last month. Hopefully I will have a better October. I need it!!!

STRESS, STRESS & MORE STRESS

If it is true that you are not given any more than you can handle I would like to retest that theory.

I have been boggled down with some pretty big things and it has been very hard on me physically and emotionally.

Work sucks!! That is the best way I can put it. My boss has decided that I know nothing about insurance so he is doing remedial courses with me. ON STUFF I ALREADY KNOW. Talk about feeling like I am totally incapable of anything. And numbers are WAY down. And of course it is all my fault because I am the only one in here that does anything.

I got my test results back and they are not good. The only good thing is that I do not have cervical cancer. But overall not good results. We have a meeting on Monday afternoon to discuss the next course of action.

Been busy studying for the Series 6 exam and I honestly do not feel I have enough time for it. I try to sneak it in but feel that I should be further along with the knowledge. I may just be hard on myself but we are each our own worst critic.

What a bummer week after coming off of a very exciting and enegetic week in Salt Lake City.

USANA Invades Salt Lake City

We just returned from the USANA International Convention and it was INCREDIBLE!!!

I find it absolutely amazing that we were surrounded by 10,000 other USANA Associates from all over the world. Many different countries were represented and people of all different backgrounds were there. Anywhere from high school dropouts to people with their PhD's. And all after the same goal. To better themselves physically and financially.

Opening ceremonies were very similar to a rock concert. Lots of lights, sound, and high energy. And a strong belief in Dr. Myron Wentz, the founder of USANA. This man has a strong passion for life and freeing the world from pain and suffering. And has to be one of the most down to earth people that I have ever met in my life. Most scientists have very little sense of humor and this man can make so much fun of himself.

I also loved the recognition that they have for their Associates. They truly treasure those of us that are out there to help make a difference in peoples lives. In fact, Lisa ended up receiving the Rising Star award this year. This is awarded to the 25 new Associates who have increased their business the most over the past 12 month. They are in the Fortune 25. It was great to see her receive this award as we knew that she earned it with her hard work and dedication.

We as a crew had a wonderful time. We were able to hang out together, learn together and have fun together. We also took in a tour of the USANA headquarters where everything is manufactured.

We are also to be featured in Success From Home magazine. I have advanced copies of the issue that I am distributing for free to those who want to learn about a healthier lifestyle and financial freedom. Please drop me your address if you are interested in receiving this FREE issue!!!

Hope to hear from you soon.

Michigan Intelligence

E passed these along to me. You have to be a true Buckeye fan to really appreciate this!!

MICHIGAN INTELLIGENCE

A guy in a bar leans over to the guy next to him and says, "Wanna hear a Michigan joke?"
The guy replies, "Well, before you tell that joke, you should know something. I am 6' tall, 200 lbs. and I am a Michigan Graduate. The guy sitting next to me is 6'2", 225 lbs. and he is a Michigan Graduate. The guy right next to him is 6'5", 250 lbs. and he is also a Michigan Graduate. Now, you still wanna tell me that joke?"

The first guy says, "No, not if I'm going to have to explain it three times".

It was reported that the Michigan Football Coach Lloyd Carr will only be dressing 20 players for the Ohio State game this Saturday...the rest of the players will have to dress themselves!

~~~~
Did you hear that the University of Michigan library burned to the ground?
All five books in the library were completely destroyed.... the football team is really upset by the fire; they hadn't colored in two of the books yet!
~~~~
What's the only sign of intelligent life in Ann Arbor?

~~~~
What does the average University of Michigan student get on his SAT?
~~~~
How do you get a Michigan Graduate off your front porch?
Pay him for the pizza
~~~~
Four college Alumni were climbing a mountain one day: A OSU grad, a Michigan grad, a Penn State grad, and a Notre Dame grad. Each proclaimed to be the most loyal fan of their alma mater. As they climbed higher, they argued as to which of them was the most loyal of all. They continued to argue all the way to the top when the Notre Dame grad hurled himself off the mountainside shouting, "This is for the fighting Irish!" Not wanting to be out done, the Penn State grad threw himself off the mountain proclaiming, "This is for the Nittany Lions!" Seeing this, the OSU grad walked over and shouted, "This is for the Buckeyes!" and pushed the Michigan grad off the mountain.
~~~~
What did the Michigan grad say to the OSU grad?
"Welcome to McDonalds. May I take your order please?"
~~~~
A young man hired by a supermarket reported for his first day of work. The manager greeted him with a warm handshake and smile, gave him a broom and said, "Your first job will be to sweep the store."
"But, I'm a Michigan graduate," the young man replied indignantly, "I even played football there!"
"Oh, I'm sorry. I didn't know that," said the manager. "Here, give me the broom, I better show you how."
~~~~
Two Michigan football players were hootin' and hollerin' while partying on campus when a bartender asked them why they were celebrating. The smart one said proudly that they had just finished a jigsaw puzzle and it only took them two months. "Two months?!" exclaimed the bartender. The Wolverine proudly replied, "Yeah, the box said 4 - 6 years!"

~~~~
A Wolverine football player was almost killed today in a tragic horseback riding accident. He fell from the horse and was nearly trampled to death. Luckily, the manager of the Wal-Mart came out an unplugged the horse just in time.
~~~~
A little boy and his mother were walking through a Michigan cemetery when they came upon a headstone that read: "Here lies a Michigan graduate and a good man."

The little boy asked his mother, "Mommy, why did they bury two people in there?"
~~~~
Coaches Jim Tressel and Lloyd Carr are walking down the beach talking about the new rivalry starting with Jim taking over as the OSU head coach. As they are walking, Lloyd trips over something in the sand. Upon closer inspection it turns out to be a genie's lamp.
"Who disturbs me?" asked the genie. Jim and Lloyd both say they did it.
"You will each get one wish," said the genie.
Lloyd offers to go first. "I want an impenetrable wall built around the entire state of Michigan so that none of those stupid Ohioans can ever get in. I want it as far down into the ground as it is high, and I want it to be completely sealed in so that we can finally have our peace!"
The genie grants the wish to Lloyd and his is instantly whisked away to his new paradise.
The genie now tells Jim he'll grant him one wish. Jim says, "Fill it up with water."
~~~~
Why is ice no longer available at Michigan football games?
Because the senior who knew the recipe finally graduated.
~~~~
What are the three longest years of a Michigan football player's life? His freshman year.
GO BUCKEYES!!!
I am super stoked right now!!!
OHIO STATE BEAT TEXAS!!!!!
I have been WAITING for this game for a year now and am beyond thrilled to say that OSU beat them 24-7.
We were all in our Buckeye gear today and even got Sassygurly (who is a Michigan fan) to wear a Buckeye shirt!! This is big!!!
E is losing his voice as a result from all of the screaming. He made a bet with a friend that we still keep in contact with in Texas. He now has to wear an Ohio State shirt for the day.
This is just beautiful.
Off to bed and to do more studying for my Series 6 exam coming up.
Our Community Service Project
We have decided as a family that we would take on a Community Service Project. We want to teach B the value of giving to others and helping others. We know that it builds character and if he learns it early on he is most likely to do it on his own later on in life.
We have decided that once a month we would make Cookies for Cops or Fudge Brownies for Firefighters. This month it was the brownies.
So yesterday I made two batches of brownies and we took them to the firefighters on the corner of Karl and Morse Road. We felt bad since they couldn't have the day off and we did. So that was their treat. We had B bring them into the room where there were four firefighters sitting watching TV. He brought them up to the one firefighter and they were all touched. After that, they took us on a tour of the fire trucks and B got to climb up into the back of the one fire truck. He really enjoyed that.
They informed us that they were having a cookout later that day and the brownies were now their dessert. We were happy that we could contribute.
Next month, need to take care of the Police Officers. It will be fun to see their reaction too!!
The Good, The Bad and The Ugly
The Good:
We have signed on an Associate as of last night!! Her name is Aly and she is a doll. I know that she will do well with this business and so excited to have her on my team. Many thanks to Lisa for helping me with bringing her on.
I am also in the midst of another process and it is going very well. It is an eight week process and we are at the halfway point. I need to pass one exam and we shall be good. Wish me luck!!
The Bad:
I had an abnormal test when I went to the doctor the last time. Since it came back not right I had to have a small procedure yesterday to determine if it was a fluke that it came back abnormal or if there is a problem. Keep your fingers crossed that it was a fluke. I do not think I can handle the problem. Not now.
The Ugly:
My bosses attitude was quite rotten this week. I was extremely annoyed with it and finally I got to talk to his wife about it. When he came back from lunch yesterday he was a little better towards me but I hate the constant up and down. I do not know if there is anything going on in his personal life to contribute to this but it is unacceptable.
Hopefully next week will be better.
