Tragedy in Threes
These past two days have been ones of complete shock. And it came in threes. And that scares me.
First, my heart and sympathies go out to Kyle and Kristi Baugh of Gallippo's Photography. Their photography studio in Wauseon burned to the ground. Actually the entire city block that had eight businesses together all burned down. This place is very special to me as that was where my photo shoot was right after I won Mrs. Ohio. And they are such incredible people and do not deserve to have this happen to them. Luckily, Kyle was able to save most of his hard drives and some other computer software so that was good. Thank goodness for insurance, right?!?!?!
Second, the Virginia Tech Massacre. That is so sad and so tragic for all of the students and families that are dealing with this. I am still watching coverage on this and will hopefully understand what exactly happened.
Third, a team member of mine committed suicide. I just got the e-mail that Rodney Reed killed himself. I am in a complete state of shock. I had only met him once at a meeting but when you hear of this it is very hard. He leaves behind his wife, son and two stepdaughters.
I needed some form of sanity. So I grabbed my One Minute Devotions for Moms and turned to todays passage. And wouldn't you know that it was Psalm 23. The very one that is used for funerals. Unreal.
My heart is completely torn apart for each incident. And I hope that some sense can come of this soon.
